Lisette loves the recorder! When asked if she prefers teaching or performing, she feels so fortunate and is thrilled to be active in both realms. She embraces teaching with great joy and enthusiasm. Heartfelt humor and encouragement are the mainstays of her approach to the study of technique and musical expression with her students of all levels. Past President of the American Recorder Society and former Director of Bradley University’s Collegium Musicum, Lisette continues her love of teaching by serving as Music Director of the ARS Chicago Chapter, as faculty member of the Whitewater Early Music Festival, and by maintaining a private studio and an active schedule as workshop presenter across the country.
